Superheroes in KS1!

On 16th January 2019 Perform for Schools visited GNSA Primary to run a drama workshop all about Superheroes for Year 1 and 2.

The children were very excited as they learnt all about the mysterious planet Party and the evil Bad Bopper who polluted the air, wasted electricity and did not recycle. They learnt different superhero poses and actions from heroes such as Pizza Man and Whirly Woman to use to defeat Bopper. Then they went on a journey to his lair taking with them seeds to plant in his garden to stop his pollution.

The children loved learning the acting skills and all used their bodies and voices to become superheroes, saving the day. They also learnt valuable lessons about the importance of recycling and looking after the environment.

"I really enjoyed the workshop because of the fun acting and my favourite part was the mission section, especially when hid from the bad guy by pretending to be trees and flowers." - 2AK
