WE Day 2017
This year the students at GNSA took part in the international We Day 2017. WE Day is a celebration of youth making a difference in their local and global communities. As a school we had to earn our tickets to the we day celebration at Wembley arena through charity and volunteering work on a local and global scale.
On Wednesday 22nd March 2017, Mrs Khilani and Mr Doyle met 14 lucky pupils from secondary and primary who, through showing their dedication to local and global Charites, were able to visit Wembley arena for the day. During the day the pupils listened to a a range of inspirational speakers including Kate Winslet, Tashi and Nungshi Malik (the first female twins to climb the highest mountains on all 7 continents.). They also were lucky enough to see performances by Fleur East, Jessie J and the Vamps.
It is safe to say the children left the event, inspired and full of ideas to make the world a better place.
