Multi Academy Trust

Children in Need

This year in the Primary phase of Guru Nanak Sikh Academy, we held a whole week of fun ‘Children in Need’ activities.  Each class was able to choose their very own fundraising activities, these ranged from filling socks with money to having a sponsored walk around Minet Country Park and Year 5 even organised a sponge-the-teacher event! (Obviously this was very popular amongst the pupils).

In addition to this, all the children across the Primary phase contributed towards a ‘Children in Need’ Art Exhibition in the secondary multi-purpose hall. Children’s art work was showcased for all parents and family members to come and have a look at. The children were very proud to show off their work and it was amazing to see the effort that the pupils had put into their individual pieces.

Through our week of fund raising activities, the Primary phase managed to raise an outstanding £3347.90 which, all together as an Academy, contributed to a grand total of £4947.20!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved for their hard-work and generosity for this well-deserved cause.
