Computing Vision

We are living in an era where technology is continually developing and so it is fundamental that children are taught how to both use and be confident with emerging technology. As a school, Nanaksar is striving to give each pupil the chance to learn the skills that will not only benefit them now in their education but also prepare them for their future.

Our pupils have access to a range of ICT resources and opportunities to use ICT effectively and creatively across all areas of the curriculum which in turn leads them to see the relevance of ICT in everyday life.

Computing Curriculum

Computing at Nanaksar incorporates various forms of technology so that pupils receive access to a diverse range of devices to handle from Learnpads, PC’s, music and video recording equipment. This ensures that all aspects of the National Curriculum are covered from using the internet and search engines effectively to detecting and correcting simple errors in algorithms.

During Computing lessons, pupils are encouraged to communicate and collaborate with each other and opportunities to plan, collect, analyse, evaluate and present data are plentiful.
