A thought-provoking Harvest Festival assembly!
On Friday 20th September Miss Chiarh led a fantastic, educational assembly about Harvest Festival for KS2 pupils.
Encouraging the children to think of others less fortunate around the world, Miss Chiarh taught KS2 all about being thankful for food and what we have. Through diagrams and the assistance of some of the children she discussed poverty around the world and what people struggle for in terms of food, clothing and shelter.
The children learnt that Harvest Festival was all about being grateful and celebrating what we have but that it was important to remember those who have less than us. This strongly linked with the school's Seva value as it instilled in the children a wish to help others and provide more assistance to other people.
It was a fantastic, educational assembly that left the children wanting to find out more about how they could help others.
