On 21st September 2019 GNSA Primary entered the annual Hillingdon in Bloom competition.

This year’s competition had the theme Planting in Trousers. The children from the gardening club planted some flowers in some old pair of trousers. Our theme was Wallace and Gromit and the film “The Wrong Trousers.”  Wallace and Gromit is a British stop motion clay           animation comedy series created by Nick Park. Children from Year 6 made the dog using paper mache whilst children from the gardening club selected the plants and arranged them in the green pot during the summer term.

The trousers were judged on 21st September 2019 at the Great Barn in Ruislip. The Mayor of Hillingdon gave out three prizes. Guru Nanak Primary School came second in the competition. Our prize was garden vouchers worth £100 and some flowering bulbs.

Fantastic news for the gardening club for coming second this year in the competition!
